i'd like to at this time call bullsh*t on things that are bothering me.

• is norah jones actually the subject of two new york times articles? in the business and opinion sections? i like norah as much as anyone else, but it just doesn't seem like news to me. isn't there a war and an election race going on?

• what is with people applying and adjusting cosmetics in public? trying to create a convincing lipline on the subway is a recipe for disaster. plus, i think it's rude.

• what could ralph nader possibly be thinking? even i'm not voting for him this time. we just aren't living in the same world.

• i don't go in for that democratic leadership council party-line thinking that ralph is a spoiler. i don't buy the math they are selling. for one thing, i think it's a misleading assumption that those who voted for nader would have necessarily voted for gore. i think alot of those people were disenfranchised to begin with and voted only because of ralph. also, plenty for democrats in swing states crossed party lines to vote for bush. anyway, i'm registered in new york and the state is so blue that my vote is basically an afterthought.

• pledge drives suck. i wish wnyc would try something else. i don't like being asked for money on the subway, and i like it even less in my own living room.
