• gargantuan works done entirely in ballpoint pen.

• a giant bad painting of moby dick.

• meeting the painter of huge, incredibly gorgeous dripped enamel paintings that i have coveted for years.

• really really bad plexiglass art.

• really really bad installation of mannequins with video sceens and televisions instead of heads.

• several consecutive styrofoam cups of cheap jug wine.

• really bad unfinished paintings of lighting equipment (?)

• learning from a sculptor friend about the practice of some painters who use pantone color chips to choose colors for their paintings. (he was telling me about a recent opening where spectator's handbags matched solid areas of the paintings exactly).

• a pair of mounted deer heads covered in rhinestones.

• a hilarious video in a filthy back room of a drugged out guy in sunglasses talking with himself.

• meeting up with j and n to drink the whole experience away. guinness at clem's.

• running into empanada guy on the way home. man, those things are like meat donuts (and by that i mean they are really really tasty).
